typographic exploration of clement street, adhering to and expanding upon traditional dada philosophies and stylistic elements. ultimately, the posters are a reflection of the belief in life's absurdity as combined with personal choice, just as clement is a functioning duality recognizing its' structure and chaos. having collected all present typographic information from the street itself, a set of two digits taken from a RAND (random) number table determined the typeface, size, and case of all phrases/words seen. while this system decided the outcome of nearly all variables, some placement decisions were made in respect to the balance and harmony of the overall pieces. consequently, the posters are meant to resonate the true nature of clement within the realms of a system imitative of life's synthesis of spontaneous chance actions and planned decisions.
